Minister: White Police Chief Appointed Due to Lack of Choice

Minister of the Interior Guusje ter Horst (Labor) has finally appointed Teun Visscher as head of the Regional Police in Southern Holland South. The minister had opposed the appointment because Visscher is a white man and she would have preferred either a woman or a non-white. She had initially vetoed the appointment to this post even though it had been vacant for over a year already.
