Deputy Minister: Brown Rats Increasingly Resistant against Poison

Deputy Minister Joop Atsma of the Environment is worried about the increasing resistance of brown rats to poison. This is what he wrote to Parliament. Studies show that 39% of rats studied are increasingly insensitive to pesticides. The Minister promised a detailed investigation into the exact size and spread of resistant mice and rat populations in the Netherlands.
